Welcome to ELA-7!! I'm so excited about being at Haslett Middle School this year. I have always wanted to try teaching middle school and this was my opportunity! I love reading and can't wait to share some of my favorite books with you and have you share your favorite books with me. We are going to have a great year together!
I'm not sure where the time goes, but I am starting my 35th year of teaching. For the past 23 years, I have been teaching 5th grade at Ralya. Prior to moving back to Michigan, I taught in both California and Illinois.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy a variety of activities. As I mentioned, I love to read. In my free time, I enjoy reading books that I can recommend to my students as well as books that have been recommended to me. While I love reading, I'm not above binge watching a great series on television. Walking and riding my bike are two of my favorite pastimes. I'm happy walking/riding in town or on a great nature trail! I grew up in California, so I'm pretty content anywhere with water and sand.
